We know that women are great, but it's nice to have a whole festival to celebrate their achievements in and contribution to arts, culture and society. Lasting almost a whole month, Ladyfest encompasses music, dance, workshops, film, exhibitions, comedy and seminars.

Glasgow artist and performer Martin O'Connor examines modern masculinity through a variety of characters in this comment on what he sees as a male generation in crisis. A shorter version of 'Reality' was originally commissioned as part of Glasgay! 2007, but O'Connor has expanded his one-man show into an acerbic swipe at modern ambition, the absence of positive male role models and the consequences of living in our individualist society.
