RocknRolla
Date Location
Ritchie's story is told with a signature narration and follows the pursuits of a bunch of get-rich-quick, bumbling, loveable rogues who could have walked straight off the set of an Ealing comedy. With trademark flashes of visual panache and humour, it's all perfectly serviceable, but still leaves us guessing over whether Ritchie is just a one-trick pony.

CGI embellished but much less gritty remake of the Pang Brothers 1999 feature of the same name. Cage once again gets to wear ridiculous clothes and a terrible weave and turn on the laconic charm in this sanitised, tourist friendly remake.

Post apocalyptic thriller with Diesel as Russian mercenary Toorop who is escorting a very special woman (Yeoh) to China. Ben X
Date Location
This mock-documentary introduces us to teen Asperger's sufferer Ben. Moving backwards and forwards between his so-called life of bullying and high school torture and his escape into online role playing games, the film delivers a doom laden narrative. Balthazar's debut feature cleverly dodges and ducks where you would otherwise expect it to run straight.

You Don't Mess With the Zohan

Zohan (Sandler) is a superhuman Mossad agent who renounces violence to pursue his real dream - a new life as a NY hairdresser. As well as a Borat-style delight in his own nakedness, Zohan is characterised by his 'funny foreigner' enthusiasm for hummus, Euro-disco and Wham-era hairstyling. Sandler's latest attempt to un-stereotype himself is a tragic attempt to use outrageous comedy to smooth relationships between New York's Israeli and Palestinian communities

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
Date Location
During the American Civil War, a trio of mean gringos squabble over hidden loot. Most people remember the Morricone score from this Leone extravaganza, but the degree of directorial stylisation (just count the number of times extreme close-ups fill the screen) make it a remarkable effort all round. Third and last of the Dollars trilogy starring Eastwood.

Space Chimps

Emperor Palpatine, Count Dooku and General Grievous are poised to rule the galaxy. The universe rests in the hands of the daring Jedi Knights, led by Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, along with brand-new heroes such as Anakin's padawan learner, Ahsoka. Like the more recent 'Star Wars' films, this is fairly tedious stuff, but it is nicely animated and fans will probably love it.

Date Location
Inspired by sci-fi classics from the 1960s and 70s, Pixar have created a post-apocalyptic story set in a future in which the Earth has been abandoned by humankind, where a solitary robot named WALL-E executes his now pointless trash collecting programme. At its heart this is a very sweet romantic comedy, and that's what provides the emotional clout.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
Date Location
Chunky old-fashioned explorer Rick O'Connell (Fraser) returns, and this time he's off to check out the catacombs of ancient China. This risible third installment of hearty adventure franchise is awash with bad CGI effects, infantile humour and sloppy performances. This is pure cheeseball. Unless you've had a lobotomy avoid.
