Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
Date Location
After the disappointing 'Bride and Prejudice', writer/director Chadha takes a step into younger territory with this adaptation of two of Louise Rennison's books. The film lacks the sharp wit of slick American comedies such as 'Clueless' and 'Mean Girls', but earns points for featuring actresses, including lead Groome, who really are the age of the characters they're playing.

Post apocalyptic thriller starring Vin Diesel as Russian mercenary Toorop who is escorting a very special woman (Yeoh) to China. Ben X
Date Location
This mock-documentary introduces us to teen Asperger's sufferer Ben. Moving backwards and forwards between his so-called life of bullying and high school torture and his escape into online role playing games, the film delivers a doom laden narrative. Balthazar's debut feature cleverly dodges and ducks where you would otherwise expect it to run straight.

Racecar Lightning McQueen loses his way en route to the final race of the season and finds himself marooned in the sleepy town of Radiator Springs, which is populated by an array of misfit cars. Chunky old-fashioned explorer Rick O'Connell (Fraser) returns, and this time he's off to check out the catacombs of ancient China. Nim's Island
Date Location
Adapted from Wendy Orr's popular book about what happens when agoraphobic authoress Alexandra Ryder (Foster) is contacted by winsome brat Nim (Breslin), whose scientist father Jack (Butler) has gone missing. Breslin and Butler adapt well to the frothy postmodern adventure but Foster's attempts at slapstick are embarrassingly crude and obvious, lessening any emotional impact.

Speed Racer
Date Location
A live action though CG-heavy adaptation of a 1960s Japanese television anime about a futuristic family of racecar designer-drivers who are pitted against a corporate fat cat.
