This dynamic programme of arts events has been organised by The Gordon Highlanders Museum in association with The Aberdeen Arts Development Team and will feature a range of activities for all ages and stages. Examining concepts such as disguise, distortion and concealment, through workshops such as 'The Great Art Disguise ' and 'Experimental Camouflage Contemporary Art', the organisers hope to draw out a range of creative talents. Historic Scotland presents special twilight tours of one of the finest Neolithic sites in Europe. Older than the pyramids, the Neolithic tomb of Maeshowe boasts an elaborate stone passageway and chamber in which to experience the dramatic changes of light at nightfall.
