A guided walk around Kinneil House, taking in the former workshop of James Watt, the engineer whose invention of the condenser made steam engines vastly more efficient, kickstarting the industrial revolution.

Start or finish your visit to Kinneil House with a short tour round the Kinneil estate from the Historic Scotland Ranger Service. Taking in the Antonine Wall, Roman fort, James Watt cottage, ponds and plantation woodland. Some wet ground and uneven paths. No booking necessary.
