Before 12pm, Dance, Contemporary

One of Europe's oldest festivals, this annual eight day celebration features over 300 dancers, musicians, singers and craftsmen promoting their artistic work. In addition to the main concert programme there are street performances, dance and music workshops and a children's club.

Throughout this class, emphasis is on moving with ease, efficiency and fluidity. Focusing on alignment, breath, clarity of movement and musicality, the class moves from standing exercises for working on technique and stability through movement sequences and jumps that explore space, rhythm and shifting dynamics.

This class emphasises placement, breath and musicality. A thorough technique warm-up is followed by travelling sequences and jumps that explore a dynamic use of the space, to the rhythms of wonderful live music. We recommend loose comfortable clothing and bare feet for all classes.
