Fans of Morrissey and the Smiths can get together and revel in their mutual adoration at the first annual Mozarmy meet-up. Terry Christian and guest DJs play tracks from the back catalogue and there's appearances from Craig Gannon, Jonny Bridgwood and Andrew Paresi. Booking is essential.

RoadBlock Run (formerly Urbanathlon) returns with another race filled with obstacles for runners to negotiate in aid of Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. Prizes for fastest males, females and teams, as well as a special prize for runners in fancy dress.

If you're going to break yourself by running further and faster than the human body was made to go, you may as well do it somewhere picturesque – and Edinburgh is certainly that (if a little windy at times). Participants run for a variety of charities.

Get fit, enjoy the views and raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by walking through the lovely setting of Holyrood Park on either a 3-mile or an 8-mile route. Suitable for the whole family (except for Rover).

A 5km fun run with charity partners available for those wishing to raise sponsorship for a good cause.
