The pre-eminent dance company's Autumn show, 'Shuffle it Right', is inspired by classics from the American Songbook composed and recorded by Hoagy Carmichael in the 1940s and 50s.

Every piece of dance Richard Alston makes is inspired by music.
A highlight of his company's visit to the Festival Theatre this autumn will be Shuffle It Right, performed to classics from the American Songbook composed by the iconic Hoagy Carmichael and recorded by Carmichael with his own bands during the 1940s and 1950s.
Alston includes well known hits like Riverboat Shuffle, Star Dust and No More Toujours L'Amour, along with lesser known gems, sung by Carmichael himself in his inimitable Southern drawl.
