Learn about the artwork of the Picts and re-create some of the mysterious symbols to create your own 21st century Pictish picture. This is a children’s art workshop led by artist Meg Telfer, and children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. Children will learn about the different Pictish stones symbols and have the chance to re-create their own piece of mysterious Pictish artwork. From 12-2pm, visitors can enjoy a lunchtime special for £4.95 in the Timespan Cafe, and from 5.30-6pm the finished artwork will be displayed in the museum and storytelling will take place in the museum.
