Scottish Chamber Orchestra: Cosi fan tutte
This listing is from a previous year. Search for current listings.
Così fan tutte may not be the most hands-down, fur-lined, swings-and-roundabouts masterpiece among Mozart's operas – it's too cynical – but it's still more fun than a barrel of monkeys singing Handel. The plot is pure sitcom: young men aim to test their fiancées' fidelity, but it all goes a bit too well. Robin Ticciati starts the SCO's new season with a concert performance of this sprightly little number, featuring Sally Matthews, Laura Tatulescu, Rachel Frenkel, Maximilian Schmitt, Adam Plachetka and Christopher Maltman plus the SCO Chorus.
