Five-week dressmaking course, suited to beginners, and covering everything from making and using patterns, to different types of seam, to altering existing clothes to fit you perfectly. Come away at the end of it all with a custom-designed dress or jacket.
Sewing Classes with Jennie Lööf
A five-week course for beginners in dressmaking
- Become so confident with your sewing machine it will never gather dust again
- Make a bag
- Learn about basic patterns and how to cut them
- Know the difference between an open seam, closed seam and a French seam
- Learn how to alter clothes to fit
- Make a dress or jacket of your own design.
Material such as thread, fastenings, and some fabric will be at the venue for you to use also pins, scissors and unpick, etc. I highly recommend that you bring your own sewing machine because it is always best to learn on your own. If you don’t have one I have some you can borrow.
Tea/coffee and sandwiches is served at all classes.
