An exhibition by the artist book group.

What is an artist book? In fact, how do we define a book?

These questions are explored through a combination of works that stretch from the page to the wall, allowing the public to consider book art in its broadest sense, and how books fit into an artist’s practice.

Focus is on the process of bookmaking: workshops will encourage participants to make their own, a sound installation will explore the relationship between poetry and the book, and attempts to define the artist book will become a hand-painted mural. Each day will see one of the artists at work on site.

At a time when the physical book is under threat from the ebook, come along and celebrate it at its most creative, as an art form.
