In the biggest live performance ever seen in the National Museum, children from Hermitage Park Primary school, as well as students from Edinburgh University's Music in the Community Course, perform songs from around the world including an English sea shanty, a Scottish love song, a rain song from Bengal and many others, as well a new piece titled The City Sings specially commissioned from composer Dee Isaacs. The performance features special instruments made by the children under the supervision of expert instrument-builder Victor Gama.
