A founder member of The Jesus and Mary Chain, Douglas Hart first began making music videos in the late 80s for the likes of My Bloody Valentine and The Stone Roses. Over the last thirty years he has made more than 100 films working with a range of artists from Pete Doherty to the Pet Shop Boys, developing a distinct style recognisable for its minimalism and bold use of colour. The programme will include his short football documentary Brazil 1970: The Sexiest Kick-off, with music by Primal Scream. Don't miss this first retrospective of possibly Scotland's most prolific filmmaker! We are delighted to welcome Douglas Hart to introduce the screening and discuss his work. Part of Glasgow Film Festival 2012: Short Film Festival.
