A Chance Encounter Between an Umbrella and a Sewing Machine

Exhibition of new work by Sheffield artist James Clarkson, taking as its title the celebrated line from Lautréamont's delirious 1869 proto-surrealist, proto-punk, proto-Goth, proto-conceptual novel Les Chants du Maldoror, 'as beautiful […] as the chance encounter on a dissecting table of a sewing machine and an umbrella.' Clarkson combines disparate objects and images to create art-historical references.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
