The members of the Maxwell String Quartet all hail originally from Scotland, where they are now based.
Having studied individually at various music academies, the quartet was formed in 2010 at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and where the quartet are now Junior Fellows in Chamber Music.
