Lister's Legacy - 100 Years On
Joseph Lister was the father of modern antiseptic surgery: he discovered the germ-killing properties of carbolic acid, which is still used today. This lecture on his work and legacy is by Prof O James Garden, who occupies the same chair that Lister once held, that of Regius Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Edinburgh.
