Ballater Walking Festival
Taking place in the 30 miles surrounding the Aberdeenshire town of Ballater (and incorporating the Cairngorm mountain range), this walking festival features strolls, hikes and perambulations for everyone from Munro-baggers to casual wanderers. In the evenings, walkers who haven't exhausted their legs can partake of a ceilidh.
