New material from the acclaimed folk singer, performing here with brother Steven and longstanding collaborator Inge Thomson.
Karine Polwart & Friends and Lorraine McCauley
Acclaimed Scottish singer-songwriter Karine Polwart plays her first Edinburgh show in two years, with a clutch of poignant and literate new songs that draw inspiration from sources as diverse as Charles Darwin's family life, Donald Trump's Aberdeenshire golf development and erstwhile UFO sightings in the Bonnybridge triangle.
Karine plays with brother Steven Polwart (acoustic and electric guitars, uke and vocals) and Inge Thomson (accordion, loops, percussion and vocals).
Support is from Donegal-born songwriter and guitarist Lorraine McCauley, promising to be one of the breakthrough acts of the year, performing with her band The Borderlands (featuring accordion, cello and viola).
Organic juice, coffee and cake bar. Wines served for early arrivals.
