The classic tale is brought slap bang into 21st century Aberdeenshire with an all-singing, all-dancing story of an Aberdeen City Councillor and his various woes. Plus, no doubt, a nanny far removed from Julie Andrews.

There can be few shows such as Mary Torphins that can appeal to theatre goers as this years rendition of The Student Shoe did. Seldom have I seen such fun, talent and expertise from all concerned as I did last week. The professionalism would leave many West end shows standing. Well done to all of the cast as well as the back room staff. I look forward to next years show.
