Glasgow Film Festival
Scotland's fastest growing film festival has taken less than ten years to turn itself into a force to be reckoned with in the film festival world. The 2011 festival was widely considered a triumph, featuring a small retrospective to mark the centenary of the birth of Ginger Rogers, Mark Millar in a strand about superheroes in Glasgow and an excellent range of documentaries. The festival also incorporates the Glasgow Youth Film Festival, which in 2011 premiered Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's Paul, and the Music and Film Festival, which boasted appearances from 65DaysofStatic and Goblin and live soundtrack screenings.
