RCS: The Threepenny Opera

RCS students bring to life Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's wonderfully acid love letter to show business, combining one of Weill's freshest and most spikily romantic scores with a book that features Brecht's layers of wit and irony on top of his collaborator Elisabeth Hauptmann's sprightly translation of John Gay's Beggar's Opera; seldom has a work that was so much the product of collaboration seemed so organically conceived. It's the inspiration for Cabaret, Chicago and Urinetown. Go see.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
