Pavel Haas Quartet/Llŷr Williams

Janáček and Smetana, two great Czechs who didn't quite balance: the former fell in love with a woman who was forty years younger, while the latter spent his last years in an asylum. The Haas quartet plays Smetana's forceful String Quartet No 1 and Janáček's equally strong and personal Quartet No 2, plus pianist Williams plays Janáček's From an Overgrown Path for solo piano.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
