Borders Book Festival
Taking place in the National Trust's Georgian Harmony Garden, the Borders Book Festival attracts world-class literary figures, this year featuring Iain Banks, Hilary Mantel, Ian Rankin, Liz Lochhead, Andy McNab and Kathy Lette, as well as stars including Sir David Frost, Rory Bremner and Jeremy Vine. The Walter Scott Prize for historical fiction is also announced, and family events include sessions based on popular books, as well as book printing, writing competitions, and storytime and rhymetime events.
