Scottish Chamber Orchestra: Beethoven's Choral Symphony
The beetle-browed one takes the place of honour in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra's 2011-12 season, closing it all off with Music from The Ruins of Athens (featuring the popular 'Turkish March') and the rushing, growling exhilaration of the Symphony No 9 'Choral'. Elizabeth Watts, Julia Riley, Allan Clayton and Jan Martinik are supported by the SCO Chorus and John Storgårds conducts.
