BBC SSO: Runnicles Conducts the Romantics
Richard Strauss's tone poem Don Juan is an energetic start to a big, meaty programme. Followed by Haydn's Cello Concerto featuring BBC SSO principal cellist Martin Storey, the climax is Brahms' thunderous tribute to Beethoven/declaration of independence, the mighty Symphony No 1. Donald Runnicles is at the helm.
We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
