The Big Explorer
A shipload of splashy fun for the Science Centre's youngest visitors - those aged up to 8. Explore the cargo ship, operate the crane, walk the plank, steer the ship, make a wall of bubbles and, most importantly, discover where the treasure is hidden.
The Big Explorer
The Big Explorer is a busy cargo ship which is designed especially for little visitors- up to 8 years old. There are lots of fun hands on exhibits and activities to keep your little ones entertained for hours.
Come aboard and help load the cargo onto the ship by operating the crane then investigate the cargo crates where you can crawl through pipes, walk the plank, play music and unlock the safe to discover treasure!
The Big Explorer is also home to Water Ways*, a water exhibit where little ones can discover the properties of water. Have fun splashing around whilst exploring floating, sinking, damming and filtering.
Visit the Captain’s Bridge and put on a puppet show, steer the ship and become a fierce pirate! Plus, you can make a giant bubble wall, send fish swimming up the air tunnel and babies can discover the soft play area.
The Big Explorer is a great backdrop for our Little Explorer Days which are back in September.
*Water Ways was made possible through support from Scottish Water and The Institution of Civil Engineers, Glasgow and West of Scotland branch
