Lenny Henry: Cradle To Rave
Cradle To Rave sees Henry return to his roots with a show about the thing he loves most: music. The show explores the role music has played, and will play, at every stage of Henry's life from the womb to the tomb. Henry's stand-up career began in 1975 when he was signed by manager Robert Luff. The following year he won the ITV talent show New Faces and took part in a touring production of the Black And White Minstrels show, something he later voiced his regret for. His television career flourished, with appearances in LWT sitcom The Fosters and becoming co-presenter on children's TV show Tiswas until 1981. He went on to write and perform for BBC show Three Of A Kind with Tracey Ullman and David Copperfield, and became a star in his own right with a self-titled BBC show. In the 1990s he starred as Gareth Blackstock in Chef! On top of his comedy acting, Henry has been the voice of a shrunken head in Harry Potter, played an integral part in the BBC's Comic Relief fundraising shows and took the title role in the Northern Broadside production of Othello.
We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
