Bjorn Again: Abba Tribute

The successful tribute act perform the songs of Swedish pop band ABBA. The show is seen as a satirical parody of ABBA and has received cult status since the band was founded in 1988 by director and musician Rod Stephen in Melbourne, Australia. The show explores the music of ABBA and the flared fashion of the 70s. Stephen came up with the name Bjorn Again as a play on singer Bjorn Ulvaeus's name and as it sounds a lot like Born Again. The Bjorn Again cast stay faithful to the songs of the Swedish band and in between performs a parody of the band, performing in fake Swedish accents and with the fake names Agnetha Falstart, Benny Anderwear, Frida Longstokin and Bjorn Volvo-us. The band have performed for high profile pop stars throughout their career, including Kylie, Cher and Shania Twain. Abba songs and products continue to sell well, as can be seen by the hugely popular motion picture Mamma Mia, stage shows and Bjorn Again celebrating their 20th anniversary of the show in 2008/09.
