Lord Of The Dance

Creator and director Michael Flatley brings his box office breaking dance extravaganza to the UK once again. The combination of music, dance, lighting and pyrotechnics has proved an international hit and is currently touring in the UK, US and Taiwan, since premiering in 1996 at Dublin's The Point Theatre. The show is based on Irish folklore and focuses on good vs evil. The tale is expressed through Irish dance and as the story unravels the audience experiences themes on love, danger and desire on the stage. The show has brought Irish dance to a worldwide scale, with critical acclaim. As well as the live stage show which has been touring since 1996, Lord Of The Dance has produced top-selling CDs, videos and DVDs released worldwide. Although Michael Flatley no longer dances in the show, he has retained artistic control over Lord Of The Dance. To maintain the high standards of the show which audiences have come to expect over the years, each show is reviewed by a team of professionals with new talent often being added to the shows.
