Ballet Nacional De Espana: Dualia/La Leyenda

The Spanish dance company performs two ballets from the company's repertoire. The first piece Dualia is choreographed by Rojo and Rodriguez, two flamenco dancers from Spain. The dance follows the sensuality of looks, with elegant and impressive movement performed alongside the music. The second piece La Leyenda (The Legend) is a tribute to the flamenco star Carmen Amaya who died in 1963. The ballet is choreographed by the artistic director of the company Jose Antonio. The dance follows Amaya's life from when she lived in the slums in Barcelona up until the 1930s and 1940s when her life became much more glamorous as she performed on the American stage. For three performances during the company's residency at London Coliseum special guest Tamara Rojo (the Royal Ballet Principal) will be performing in Romance de Luna, which is in addition to the regular two pieces performed. This will be shown on April 27th and May 1st and 2nd. The ballet company was created in 1978 and since then it has achieved great success worldwide, performing at world renowned theatres and receiving awards and accolades for its work.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
