Hardeep Singh Kohli: The Nearly Naked Chef
Broadcaster, writer, cook and Glaswegian Sikh Hardeep Singh Kohli combines comedy and anecdotes with inventive cuisine in an extended version of his earlier show The Nearly Naked Chef, which debuted at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He started his career on the radio and still dominates the airwaves, making documentaries for Radios 2, 3 and 4, plus regular slots on primetime Radio 4. As a journalist he has a column in Scotland On Sunday called Hardeep Is Your Love which has seen him twice nominated in 2007 and 2008 for Scottish Columnist of the Year at the Scottish Press Awards. He is also Contributing Editor for the Spectator Magazine and has written for publications including the Independent On Sunday, The Times, Observer Woman and Conde Nast Traveller. As an author, he published his first book Indian Takeaway in 2008 and has written about food for Olive, Observer Food Monthly, The Spectator, The Times and The Sunday Times. Hardeep was runner-up on the first series of Celebrity Masterchef which led to two series for UKTV Food, New British Kitchen and Chefs And The City. Other TV appearances include Question Time and The One Show, plus writing and presenting shows for Channel 4, including the BAFTA Award-winning In Search Of The Tartan Turban, Hardeep Does… and the series £50 Says You'll Watch This.
