Joe Bonamassa
The blues-rock guitarist takes to the stage to promote his album Black Rock. The American guitarist names British guitarists Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff and Peter Green as some of his biggest influences in the music industry. The guitarist began his recording music with Bloodlines, a blues-rock group in the nineties. As well as performing his own original material Bonamassa has also become known for his covers of guitar rock classics by artists including Led Zeppelin and Chris Whitley. Bonamassa is a hard-touring guitarist often playing more than 200 shows in just one year. On top of his busy touring schedule the blues rocker is also an ambassador for the Blues Foundation's Blues In The School's programme which is based in Memphis. As part of his role as ambassador he visits schools in the US while he is touring to educate students about blues music and its heritage and raising awareness of the award-winning programme.
