Shakespears Sister
Shakespears Sister aka Siobhan Fahey, co-founder of Bananarama, first rocketed into global consciousness in 1989 with the release of her debut album Sacred Heart and its massive hit single You're History both hitting the UK top 10. Returning as a duo in 1991, Fahey soon set the world ablaze again with the band's second album Hormonally Yours, spawning its hit singles Stay, I Don't Care and Hello, Turn Your Radio On, notching up a staggering 2 million album sales. Fahey returned Shakespears Sister to a solo effort in 1994 with the release of the glam pop-rock anthem I Can Drive, before taking a musical hiatus. After the release of the highly sought after third album simply entitled 3 and following the band's first Best Of' compilation in 2004, Siobhan returns to the world's stage in 2009 with the fourth Shakespears Sister album Songs From The Red Room. This exclusive UK live performance at the Hoxton Underbelly on October 20 is her first as Shakespears Sister in almost 15 years, performing hits from a career spanning over 30 years in music, together with new previously unheard material.
