Edinburgh International Magic Festival

This magical new player on the Edinburgh festival scene returns for a third year in 2012 and is sure to have an even bigger array of performances, live illusions, close-up magic, films and children's shows. The festival is a not-for-profit venture also incorporating a grand trick-off contest, a gala show and speakers from the world of magical entertainment who might have a trick or two up their sleeves. Last year's event included appearances from female magician Romany and The Real Hustle's R Paul Wilson, plus the 'War of the Wizards', a sleight of hand competition with categories for under- and over-18s.
