School pupils from across Edinburgh perform their unique take on Gustav Holst's most famous work with a backdrop of images from the 1964 moon landing. (Free but booking is required; £1 payable if booking online.)
Holst: Planets Suite
Taking inspiration from Holst's Planet suite primary school children from across Edinburgh perform their own version of this legendary piece. With dynamic images from the 1969 moon landing, full orchestral percussion and the use of the Usher Hall organ this promises to be a musical experience not to be missed.
The performance is free but tickets must be booked in advance. Please note you will have to pay a £1.00 transaction fee if booking online.
A collection will take place after the show for the Edinburgh Royal Observatory
