BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra: Maestros' Choice 6
The BBC SSO and conductor Donald Runnicles are joined by violinist James Ehnes and soprano Ji Young Yang in Britten's virtuosic and spirited 'Violin Concerto' and Mahler's 'Symphony No 4' respectively. First up is Webern's 'Im Sommerwind', a rich, exuberant late romantic-era tone poem. With a Pre-Concert Prelude at 6.45pm and a Post-Concert Coda.
