Merging country, blues and rock, The Black Hand Gang are a Glasgow band that are going from strength to strength. They started this year with a bang by winning the Road to Hogmanay competition and playing to 15,000 revellers in George Square to bring in the New Year. Since then, they have been playing to fans around the UK and supporting established acts such as Band of Skulls, Kassidy and Sleepy Sun.
Their debut EP has been well received by the music press both here and across the Atlantic and Saturday’s gig promises to showcase some new material. For those who enjoy their tunes with a cocktail of Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Kings of Leon, this night is pretty much unmissable.
Support on the night will be from Jumpersknee and Amy Beskin and the Way Home.
