BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra: North by North-East 1

Conductor Richard Farnes makes his BBC SSO debut in a celebration of British music. Britten's 'Four Sea Interludes' from the opera 'Peter Grimes' is followed by Thea Musgrave's magical 'Songs for a Winter's Evening', a setting of seven Burns poems sung by soprano Lisa Milne. Finally, a triumphant finale with Elgar's much-loved 'Enigma Variations'.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.
