The Gathering 2009
In a highlight of VisitScotland's Homecoming 2009 programme Holyrood Park gets its very own Highland games and clan gathering. Designed to be one of the largest clan gatherings in history, the clan members will be on show in a parade up the Royal Mile to a pageant at Edinburgh Castle esplanade. The games will incorporate the Deuchars World Highland Games Heavy Events Championship, a Clan Village, Scottish piping, Scottish produce and a genealogy area.
