There are great theatre shows on offer all year round at the King's Theatre and Festival Theatre, Edinburgh.

Mr Loveday's Little Outing

Evelyn Waugh's comedic (to the point of lunatic) tale is presented by Theatrical Theatrics Productions 'Part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008'.

We don't have details of any future performances, if you know of some please let us know.

If you get a chance get yourself along to 'Mr Loveday's Little Outing'
now playing in Studio 2 at Edinburgh College of Art until 25th August.
The Play lasts for 50 minutes and begins daily at 13.45. It has been adapted from a short story by Patrick Garety, a former Ampleforth student, and the witty account is quite faithful to the original in most aspects. You may recall that last year the BBC did something similar with Prunella Scales as Lady Moberley and Andrew Sachs as Mr Loveday. Garety's version stands the comparrison and while the acting standards of the Amplefordians are commendable, it is Patrick Garety himself, in the role of the doctor, who stands out as a rising star. There is no doubt that we shall hear much from him in the future.
The Production is a 'no frills' experience, but no worse for that and it is hugely funny and accessible by the talented cast, all of whom have just finished the Upper Sixth at Ampleforth College.
Hugely enjoyable adaptation of a very funny story by a talented group of aspiring young actors: definitely worth attending!
