Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009
As arts festivals go, the Edinburgh Fringe is quite simply the biggest and best in the whole world, and it continues to grow: 2009 sets a new record with 2,098 different shows being performed around the city across three crazy weeks. From weird and wonderful experimental theatre to school musicals to the biggest names in stand-up comedy, entertainment abounds on Edinburgh's streets and in every nook or cranny someone dares to call a venue.
