Edinburgh International Festival

Edinburgh's annual cultural extravaganza works tirelessly to secure the best of the world's practitioners of dance, opera and theatre. This year's programme is themed around Scottish achievements in culture and philosophy, particularly the Enlightenment, and identity, home and homecoming. Highlights include Gaelic opera 'St Kilda', the Royal Ballet of Flanders' performance of 'The Return of Ulysses', a daring new adaptation of 'Faust' and of course the wildly popular Bank of Scotland Fireworks Concert on the closing night.
