Dunfermline, home to the story of Robert the Bruce as well as the legendary king's grave, hosts a weekend of historical activities and re-enactments with a strong family feel.
Step back in time and experience entertainment, crafts, cuisine and hustle and bustle of life as it would have been in the 14th Century. The world of medieval Scotland will spring to life with a thrilling equestrian show, medieval arts and crafts, battle re-enactments, music and story-telling workshops.
Treat yourself from a range of food stalls, visit the beer and tent or browse in the craft fair at the food and craft court or just soak up the atmosphere whilst looking at the jousting horses. With some of Fife’s finest local produce, the food court will tempt visitors with a range of appetising dishes.
Our fun fair is sure to put a smile on younger faces with its colourful array of rides and stalls. For a more testing challenge take part in our family treasure hunt that weaves its way through a series of clues spread around Dunfermline’s town centre. As you try to reveal the answers, you’ll discover the secrets of Dunfermline’s fascinating history as well as sharing in the fun.
