American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is one of the most influential artists of our time. He’s written some of the most lyrically brilliant songs in popular music (The Pretender, Running on Empty) recreating the genre of acoustic music. Browne’s latest release Time the Conqueror (2008) lives up to its reputation by the personal and political views being portrayed in an intelligently passionate way.
Having accompanied Browne in the past, David Lindley is both an accomplished musician and figurehead for championing world music as reflected in his own electro-acoustic outfit (El Rayo-X) which combines Western folk with Eastern elements to deliver a truly exciting and magnificent sound.
