INDIE POP
Boasting a guest guitarist spot from Echo and the Bunnymen’s Gordy Goudie, a chrome and polish from Parisian producer Kid Loco and delightful artwork care of Bruno Gallagher, this industrious Glasgow trio’s latest offering is an inviting prospect.
Equal parts pomp and austerity theirs is a warm alt.indie electro-pop that evokes more than just a little of salad-day Cardigans, largely thanks to simple, sturdy songwriting conveyed in the undeniably Nina Persson-esque tones of Louise Quinn. ABCQ clearly mean business and, as brashly championed on recent single ‘DIY’, are not about to wait for someone else to make things happen.
