Ugly Betty and Extras actress Ashley Jensen is just one of many Scottish celebrities set to star in No Holds Bard, a 60-minute comedy mocumentary, due to begin filming next week. Celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, Jensen will join Bill Paterson, Dennis Lawson, Ford Kiernan, Greg Hemphill, Paul Higgins, Laura Fraser, Ron Donachie, Katy Murphy and Forbes Masson to film a modern comedy tale set around a Burns recital.
Alan Tyler, head of entertainment at BBC Scotland, said of the line-up: 'We are delighted to have attracted this fantastic array of Scottish stars to the cast. Many of them have worked with BBC Scotland before, and it feels great to welcome them back home. BBC Scotland will be doing a lot to celebrate the man and his works in 2009 and we are delighted that this affectionate tale will form a part of that.'

There are extras in No Holds Bard, but Robert Burns and Ugly Betty were otherwise engaged, unfortunately.
