Glasgow Mela

Huge outdoor festival based on the traditions of the south-east Asian sub-continent. The Mela showcases a mix of international musical cultures — everything from Bhangra to Russian folk, with a cheeky wee stop off in reggae; acts include Sukshinder Shinda, The Destroyers & The Dhol Blasters, Tigerstyle and Makossa. Visitors can also browse stalls selling jewellery, henna painting, rugs, curries and kulfi. Have a squizz at www.glasgowmela.com, then go party.
