Dislocation
The current exhibition at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange Gallery pairs established Edinburgh-based artist Anna Constantinou with sculptor Thomas Winstanley, who graduated from the RCA in London last year. The two bodies of work relate to each other in the emotional response they provoke in the viewer. Constantinou has created a series of large paintings inspired by the ongoing relentless destruction of the planet and its population, while Winstanley’s sculptures, which include ‘Whistler’ (pictured), use materials which appear deceptively dense to explore the inside or inner surface of reality.
Corn Exchange Gallery, Edinburgh, until Sat 29 May.
