GFT and O2 Wireless Weekender present a day of Glasgow music docs

The Glasgow Film Theatre, in association with O2 Wireless Weekender, will present a day of short documentaries about Glaswegian pop music on Sunday 11 May.

Screenings are at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. Each screening is made up of three great music documentaries:

EX-S: Alex Harvey (2001, 29m)
A profile of the Scots singer, whose Sensational Alex Harvey Band had hits in the 70s with 'Delilah' and 'The Boston Tea Party'. Harvey's widow Trudy, along with singers Maggie Bell and Jim Kerr plus members of the band, tell his story.

Artworks Scotland: Shooting Franz Ferdinand (2004, 30m)
This profile/interview piece takes Franz back to their roots and follows them behind the scenes of various gigs and award ceremonies during 2004. Narrated by Edwyn Collins.

The Beat Room: The Story of Belle and Sebastian (1999, 30m)
A profile of the West End indie-poppers from 1999. Contributors include Mark Radcliffe and Alan Rankine.
